The neuropsychological test battery consists of 20 tests, covering the cognitive domains of speed and attention, memory and learning, visuospatial, language and executive functions. The battery is designed to cover several aspects of cognitive function within each cognitive domain, and is therefore extensive and balanced. Each domain is assessed with four different tests. For instance, within the domain of visuospatial function, visual perception, spatial organization, and spatial construction are tested. A complete neuropsychological assessment is divided into two sessions, lasting approximately 1.5 hours each. The results from each patient are compared to normative values, collected from the 130 healthy controls in the Gothenburg MCI study, in order to identify deviations in the cognitive profile.
