About Lena Hartelius

Present employment

Since 1999 employed as senior lecturer (universitetslektor) and became associate professor (docent) in 2003 and professor in 2010. The position is conjoint with the Neuro Care Division at Sahlgrenska University Hospital. Previous experiences include doctoral studies and post-doc year at the University of Washington, Seattle, USA and Department of Speech Pathology and Audiology, University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australien.

Teaching interests

Lectures on acquired speech disorders, supervises master’s theses and PhD students (Malin Antonsson, Emma Forsgren).

Research interests

Research is being focused on two long-term projects. (1) ITA – Measures of speech Intelligibility, Timing and Articulation in individuals with speech disorders (follow link) and (2) Increased communication ability after stroke (including rTMS and communicative interaction, follow link).
