The major research interests are:
* Analysis of potential biochemical markers for neurodegenerative diseases in cerebrospinal fluid, brain tissue and model organisms.
* Mass spectrometric method development for ESI-LTQ/FTICRMS and MALDI-TOFMS coupled to separation techniques such as gel electrophoresis and nano scale liquid chromatography.



• About 40 publications (original research papers in peer-reviewed journals).
• About 5 reviews in peer-reviewed journals.
• Six book chapters
• Co-editor of a mass spectrometry book for graduate students “”Mass Spectrometry: Instrumentation, Interpretation, and Applications” John Wiley & sons (December 2008)
