CURRICULUM VITAE

CURRENT POSITION

Post-doc at the research team on “Neurochemical Pathogenesis and Diagnostics” at the Dept. of Neuroscience and Physiologi, University of Gothenburg, Sweden.

EDUCATION AND SCIENTIFIC MERITS

MSc in Engeneering Physics, Uppsala Technical University 1988
PhD in Ion Physics, Uppsala University 1993

RESEARCH INTEREST

The major research interests are:
* Studies on cerebrospinal fluid biochemical markers the clinical diagnosis of AD and other brain disorders, including methodological aspects of cerebrospinal fluid analyses.
* Focus on proteomics, high resolution mass spectrometry.

High-resolution top-down tandem mass spectrometry is a powerful technique by which it is possible to obtain structural information of endogenous neuropeptides. With this methodology a number of novel isoforms or fragments of Amyloid beta (A) and Amyloid precursor protein (APP) including post-translational modifications have been discovered and charcterised.
